EWE Baskets are partners for "Next Level Leadership" further education programme
How do I lead my company to success in a world characterised by change? What role do mindset, trust and team cohesion play in this? Since October last year, experienced managers have been dealing with these and similar questions in the further education programme Next Level Leadership. At the C3L - Centre for Lifelong Learning, they exchange ideas on how their teams can be empowered to achieve top performance.
"We are delighted to have gained EWE Baskets Oldenburg, one of Germany's leading basketball clubs, as a practice partner for our Next Level Leadership training programme," emphasises Manuel Karczmarzyk, Head of Advanced Scientific Training at the C3L. The participants receive important learning impulses from head coach Pedro Calles and reflect with the programme coaches and individual players on which aspects are decisive for team success. "In elite sport, the link between coaching and team performance can be felt much more directly, which is why the mechanisms for success can be illustrated particularly well here. I am therefore certain that the participating managers will benefit from this dialogue at eye level," continues Karczmarzyk.
To better convey the feeling of a Champions League club, a further education workshop will be held at EWE Baskets on 24 February - including a tour of the arena and the dressing room. "The Next Level Leadership approach convinced us straight away and fits perfectly with EWE Baskets Oldenburg's management philosophy, which is based on trust, positive thinking, respect and responsibility. We are therefore very much looking forward to the exchange with the programme participants," says Nils Wolfram, Team Leader Sales, summarising the collaboration with the University of Oldenburg.
The collaboration between EWE Baskets Oldenburg and the C3L - Centre for Lifelong Learning includes a vodcast with Pedro Calles, which will be made available to Next Level Leadership participants as exclusive teaching material. Reflection on the content will take place in a workshop together with a player on the premises of EWE Baskets Oldenburg. Further activities to illustrate the interplay between leadership and team performance are planned for the next round of further education, including a joint visit to an EWE Baskets game and an additional fireside evening.
