Controlling in education management
More than just checking figures!
Controlling is often seen as a purely business management task. However, it involves far more than just checking figures. The central task of controlling is to determine what has already been achieved on the way to the respective goal and what challenges still need to be overcome. The subtasks include planning, budgeting, operational and process data collection, monitoring, variance analysis, reporting and management proposals. In our module, controlling is understood as the entirety of concepts and instruments with which organisations can be managed. Among other things, we teach how key performance indicator systems can be adapted for specific companies or organisations and what role controlling plays in innovation and transformation processes.
The programme is aimed in particular at
- Subjects and managers who would like to further their education in controlling
- Self-employed and freelance professionals
- People who aspire to work in this field
The module can be taken as certified further education or as part of the part-time MBA degree programmes in Education and Science Management and Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship. It concludes with a Certificate of Advanced Studies. The certificate is fully recognised for the MBA programme. So you can start your studies without enrolment!
