Academic work

How to research literature efficiently, manage ideas and cite correctly

The module teaches the tools for working on project work - from the written examination to the Bachelor's thesis. Participants learn how to proceed systematically and methodically, observe formal requirements and organise their work well: How do I develop a research question? How do I proceed systematically when researching literature? How do I utilise idea management? The module also takes into account the special features of the degree programme, such as working on practical topics in groups.
In addition to procurement and selection, reading and marking techniques are also taught when dealing with scientific literature. Participants learn about the formal requirements for dealing with third-party intellectual property and the different citation methods. Basic requirements for the preparation of project documentation and portfolios as well as the appropriate integration of practical examples are also taught in the module.
