Statistics and empirical research methods
Collect, analyse and present data
The module teaches you the basics of qualitative and quantitative empirical social research. This will enable you to collect, scientifically analyse and present data independently. These skills will enable you to critically interpret statements that circulate in the media and in everyday academic appointments.
In the module, you will create a project that you develop from specific academic appointments. The previously taught qualitative or quantitative research methods will be applied. You can also use your new know-how for other projects or your final thesis.
The module is suitable for anyone who wants to understand and apply statistical methods and empirical data collection. It can be taken as certified further education or as part of the part-time Bachelor's degree programme in Business Administration and concludes with a Certificate of Advanced Studies. The certificate is fully recognised for the Bachelor's degree programme. So you can start your studies without enrolment!
