Length of NMR tubes for the automatic system

The length of the NMR tube must be at least 17 cm before Young Tubes, ground joints, lids or Parafilm start to be attached.

If the gripper grips the lid or the unevenness of the abutments or parafilm, the tube cannot be transported correctly. It may hang crookedly in the gripper and therefore not be placed correctly. In the worst case, the glass in the NMR spectrometer may break. This would result in a repair by the supplier (duration at least 6 months).
