Counselling sessions
Would you like advice on the course of your studies, the management of your studies, your degree or if you have doubts about your studies?

If you are already studying beyond the standard period of study (so-called "long-term studies") and would like counselling on topics such as
- study programme
- study planning
- Delaying your studies
- Management of studies
- Degree
- Returning to studies
- Study doubts
then please get in touch with me. In an individual one-to-one meeting, we will discuss your personal study situation in order to find ways to help you with your further decisions, plans and steps. In one-to-one meetings, you will have the opportunity to analyse your study progress to date, work out achievable study goals and draw up timetables.
I, Mareike Junker, as a member of staff at School II, provide counselling for all degree programmes at School II. This is subject-related counselling, which focuses primarily on the organisation and planning of studies. The counselling I provide is not psychotherapeutic or similar. - For this purpose, the University of Oldenburg offers you the Psychological Counselling Service (PBS).
The individual counselling initially takes place in up to 5 sessions (of approx. 30-60 minutes each). Further sessions in subsequent semesters are of course possible if required. However, the counselling is not intended to provide long-term support for your studies or the management of studies.
My counselling is confidential and free of charge. Counselling can be provided in German or English. Simply get in touch with and request an appointment. We can talk online, on the phone or in person. I can usually offer appointments at short notice (at least online) so that you don't have a long waiting period. Appointments in person usually require a little more lead time (approx. two weeks), as I mostly work from home due to my place of residence.
In addition to this subject-specific ENDSPURT counselling at the School, the University of Oldenburg has other very helpful counselling, exchange and workshop offers that might be of interest to you. Please have a look under "Tips and links".
