After returning to face-to-face teaching, many lecturers and students asked themselves the question: "Why should I still be involved in digital teaching now?"

There are many answers to this question:

1. Digital teaching is not just online teaching
   There are many digital tools and concepts that can be used excellently in face-to-face teaching.
   
2. Acquired knowledge should not be lost
   In two years of the coronavirus pandemic, our university has also built up a "treasure trove of knowledge" in the field of digital and online teaching. This knowledge should be preserved and form the basis for new concepts and ideas.
   
3. Digital formats offer new opportunities
   Whether online or face-to-face. Digital teaching expands the range of possibilities for good and innovative teaching concepts. It is important that technology and conception go hand in hand.

Participate@UOL should support teaching staff and students in testing and developing new digital teaching/learning concepts and open up scope for this. To this end, teaching and learning labs should be set up both at university level and in the Schools, where new forms of teaching and learning can be trialled.
