Adviser: Johanna Sauer, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Oldenburg
Working until retirement – is that still a reality? Whilst raising the state pension age is a topic of political debate, extending one’s working life until retirement is not a viable option for everyone. In this talk, Johanna Sauer will present the latest research findings on what can already be observed regarding transitions into retirement: who is (or is not) able to work longer or retire earlier; the influence of health, family and financial factors; and the inequalities affecting women and people from migrant backgrounds.
Target audience: Employees and students
