Focus on connection
A sense of connection with oneself and with others is a fundamental building block of our health: strong social bonds not only promote general well-being and mental health, but can even help prevent illness and improve outcomes. At the same time, a strong connection with oneself improves emotional balance, promotes a positive approach to stress and pressure, and boosts self-esteem.
For us as an organisation, too, it is beneficial when people feel connected. Where staff experience meaningful relationships with their colleagues, trust, open communication and mutual support can flourish – and with them, a working environment in which it is easier to do a good job.
In Occupational Health Management, the theme of connectedness will therefore be the focus in the second half of 2026. The programme series, featuring various talks, workshops and exercise sessions, is aimed at all staff in research and administration and will run from September to December. At the heart of the series are the health days ‘Let’s connect – Together. Strengthened. Healthy.”, which will be held from 3 to 5 November in collaboration with the Student Health Management programme – the programme for these events will be published in October. Registration for the other activities is now open and can be completed by clicking on the events. The programme also highlights relevant events organised by other university departments. We hope you enjoy taking part, gain some exciting new insights and have stimulating discussions!
The range of activities on offer will be expanded over the coming weeks. We’ll also keep you updated on these via our newsletter; please feel free to sign up using the registration box on the left.
