The university operates a central university website uol.de based on the TYPO3 CMS (Content Management System). The design of the pages is based on the University's corporate design.

The central website is basically the place for providing pages for university institutions and individuals. Newly established departments/institutions receive free access on request so that they can fill their pages with content independently.

The (almost) full range of TYPO3’s features is, of course, also available on our website uol.de. This is supplemented by TYPO3 extensions and customisations – some of which we have developed ourselves.

• Calendar – use of the calendar function provided to announce events. Among other things, recurring events can also be entered
• Publication lists: Integration of publication lists from BibTeX, the university bibliography and Stud.IP
• News – Creation of news pages with images, teaser text, categorisation and RSS feeds
• Forms – Easy creation of forms (e.g. for contact enquiries, registrations) with an export function
