Composers' colloquium continues to take place online
Interested parties can register with Roberto Reale at and will then receive a link to access the web conference.
Use the Google Chrome browser to participate in the colloquium. The video conferencing programme BigBlueButton works most reliably via this, also with regard to the playback of image and sound material.
Here is a short guide:
After clicking on the link, you will be automatically redirected to the meeting.
You will then be asked how you would like to join the conference; you can choose: Listen or Switch on microphone (follow the programme's instructions); with the microphone switched on, you can be heard by everyone.
You can then decide whether you also want to switch on your webcam (click on the camera icon at the bottom of the screen, then follow the instructions); with the webcam switched on, you can be seen by everyone.
Please switch off your camera and microphone during the lecture. This will improve the quality of the transmission and prevent background noise.
Music of our time
As a permanent teaching institution, the Institute of Music organises a composers' colloquium entitled "Music of our time" under the direction of Violeta Dinescu. Composers of contemporary music from Germany and abroad (e.g. Mauricio Kagel, Krzysztof Penderecki, Helmut Oehring) and lesser-known composers present their works, projects and pieces for discussion. In accompanying courses, these works are analysed and examined from a musicological perspective.
At the end of each semester, students are given the opportunity to present their own compositions in public as part of the composers' colloquium. They are supported by professional performers from the region.
Unless otherwise stated, the events take place every Friday at 6.00 pm in the Chamber Music Hall (A11).
