Composers Colloquium SoSe 2007

Music of our time

As a permanent teaching institution, the Institute of Music organises a composers' colloquium entitled "Music of our time" under the direction of Violeta Dinescu. Composers of contemporary music from Germany and abroad (e.g. Mauricio Kagel, Krzysztof Penderecki, Helmut Oehring) and lesser-known composers present their works, projects and pieces for discussion. In accompanying courses, these works are analysed and examined from a musicological perspective.

At the end of each semester, students are given the opportunity to present their own compositions in public as part of the composers' colloquium. They are supported by professional performers from the region.

Unless otherwise stated, the events take place at 6.00 pm in the Chamber Music Hall (A11).

The Composers' Colloquium is organised in co-operation with oh ton Förderung aktueller Musik e.V.
