Do I have to submit a so-called portfolio in addition to the assignments?
No.
What does "picture collection" mean?
The task of compiling a collection of images here means a compilation of at least ten images that makes sense in terms of content and/or form. The starting point is the image you have chosen and published on the homepage. You will refer to this when compiling works you have produced yourself or images you have "found". You also need to think about how to present your work in an ideal way.
Can I use images for the image collection that are not my own?
Yes, you must create at least seven images yourself. The other images can be taken from print media, online portals, flyers, etc.
Can I submit GKI-generated images to the image collection? (GKI = Generative Artificial Intelligence)
No.
Can I use Generative Artificial Intelligence to write the texts?
GKI-generated texts are not permitted. Content researched with GKI must be labelled and the corresponding prompts must be documented under the sources.
Does the film have to be current?
No, the topicality - i.e. the year of production - is irrelevant. The only decisive factor is that you watch the film now, i.e. during the entrance examination.
What does "general conditions of the film screening" mean?
Films are shown in a certain setting, at film festivals, in museums, in cinemas, etc. We assume that these places have an effect on the perception of the films. We therefore ask you to take the respective location into account in your considerations.
When will I be informed whether I have passed the entrance examination?
You will be informed of the result of the entrance examination around mid-July of the respective examination year via the email address you used when registering. However, you can also log into your account at any time to check whether the notification has already been sent.

Am I already enrolled if I have passed the entrance examination?
No. Enrolment must be applied for separately at the Admissions office.
