The listserver is used to quickly and easily announce important information relating to the subject of Art and Media by email, e.g. changes to the course catalogue, lectures, cancelled events, important dates and information on examination matters, etc.

As this is an open but moderated listserver, you as a participant cannot disseminate any information yourself. If you send messages to the listserver, they will first be automatically forwarded to the moderator, who will then decide on publication.

The listserver is moderated by Mr Tesch (Office for Art and Visual Culture), who can be reached at or by calling 798-2319 or in room A10 0-008.

If you would like to register on the art and media listserver, there are two options:

1. You go to the information page of the list here and fill in the form;
2. You write an email with the content subscribe to

At the bottom of the page you will find the item "Unsubscribe / change an e-mail address". Enter your email address and click on the "Unsubscribe or edit settings" button.
If you do not know your individual password, have it sent to you (password reminder at the bottom of the page). After logging in, follow the instructions under "Cancelling your subscription".

FAQ mail server

Proceed as follows to log in to the listserver using your Web.de email address:

1. Log in to Webmail and open the window that you usually use to compose a new email.
2. Below the subject line you will find a pull-down menu on the left, which is set to "Design mail" in the initial state. Fold down this pull-down menu and switch to "Text mail".
3. Web.de will now inform you that all formatting of your email will be lost. This is necessary for the listserver to accept your registration. So click on "Continue" here.
4. In the window that now appears, write "subscribe studierende-kunst" to "Majordomo@listserv.uni-oldenburg.de" as described here and send the email.
