Generative artificial intelligence in teaching
Generative artificial intelligence in teaching
The topic of artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of university teaching has been the subject of lively discussion in many places for some time now. Generative AI in particular - i.e. AI systems that can generate their own content based on an input ("prompt") - offers teachers and students a wide range of potential uses in the context of university teaching.
These possibilities raise many questions for teaching: How can we use AI tools in teaching in a purposeful and responsible way? What limits and hurdles need to be considered? What can we still regard as independent work by students? What does this mean for examination formats?
Many organisations are working on solutions to the questions regarding the use of AI tools in university teaching and the associated challenges. The collection of links below provides a brief overview of resources at the University of Oldenburg on the topic of (generative) AI.
