Virtual emergency room
Virtual emergency room
Would you like a brief insight into the possibilities of virtual reality at School VI? This short film was produced in collaboration with the media technology and Higher Education Pedagogy departments as part of the Teaching and Learning Day (TdLL) 2024.
Training the treatment of internal emergencies with VR glasses
Since the summer semester of 2023, we have been offering the opportunity to use virtual reality in medical education. Using VR headsets (Meta Quest 2) and the STEP.VR software, students can work through nine internal medicine emergency scenarios in a controlled environment under supervision, thereby practising clinical reasoning and diagnostic reasoning. Since autumn 2024, it has also been possible for several people to work together as a team in the same virtual treatment room at the same time.
Curious to find out more?
We currently have five VR headsets and three computers with the software available.
