My name is Annika Feldmann and I completed my FÖJ here in 2024/25.

During that time, I was able to gain loads of brilliant experience, such as ringing and tagging birds, analysing data, learning what scientific work involves, and much, much more.

The team welcomed me with open arms and treated me as an integral part of the group.

I can recommend the FÖJ here to anyone who enjoys being outdoors but isn’t put off by office work either. You don’t need any prior knowledge of birds, but it’s an advantage to have an interest in them and a desire to learn a lot about them. After all, your entire FÖJ here will revolve around bird research.
