It is not only in Lower Saxony that pupils in the upper secondary school are already writing their first academic papers. For years, they have been getting help with research for their theses from the Oldenburg University Library, among others.
The University Library and Oldenburg State Library are once again offering joint office hours for sixth form students until mid-March. Experienced librarians will provide individualised help with research for the seminar subject and provide electronic and printed media on the respective topics.
Students can take advantage of the online office hours at the University Library by appointment on Wednesdays between 4 and 6 pm. In addition, the staff of the Library and Information System (BIS) provide advice by email. Advice in the State Library on Thursdays - online or by telephone - also requires prior .
As both libraries are currently open to users, pupils can also use the workstations there and order, collect and return media for their specialist work. Both libraries offer a book return flap for contactless returns.
The joint office hours for research papers as part of the regional network "Schu:Bi - School and Library" has been in demand for more than ten years and has been copied nationwide.
