Biology (IBU) and ICBM students who are in at least their third academic semester at the start of their Erasmus+ study abroad period and who wish to undertake a stay of between one and twelve months at one of our university’s partner universities. In addition to the partner universities in the field of biology (University of Jyväskylä, University of Verona, Pablo de Olavide University (Seville), Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Terrassa)), there is also a selection of partner universities of the ICBM.

ERASMUS+ Application Process

Required application documents:

• a completed PDF of the Erasmus online application
• Letter of motivation
• Academic transcript
• Proof of the required language proficiency
• Selection of modules to be studied abroad. The recognition of these modules must be confirmed with the study coordinator, Dr Birgit Vollrath before your stay abroad.

Please submit your documents to me by 1 February at the latest for the winter semester and by 15 May at the latest for the summer semester. Please note that the start of the semester at the various universities may differ significantly from our dates.

Erasmus+ exchange places will be allocated once all applications received have been reviewed. I would very much look forward to meeting with you in person beforehand.
