From theory to practice: Students from the PV Systems lecture at the University of Oldenburg travelled by bike and bus to the PV generator at Fliegerhorst for a first-hand look at photovoltaic technology in operation.
This year’s excursion included a guided tour of the solar park on the “Ammerland” site, giving students the opportunity to explore the facility and connect topics from their lectures with a real-world renewable energy installation.
A particular highlight was the chance to take a closer look at the newly installed battery storage container and learn more about the role of energy storage in combination with photovoltaic generation.
Excursions like this provide our students with valuable insights into the practical application of renewable energy technologies and complement the technical knowledge gained in the classroom.
Many thanks to Jörn Menke for the informative and engaging tour and to Aquila Clean Energy EMEA, the owner of the facility, for making this visit possible.
