Selection procedure + application (Erasmus+)
The selection of available study places at our Erasmus cooperation universities (with the exception of Norway, Sogndal see below) is based on the principle of "first come, first served (subject to available capacity)". Proof of language skills is also required in some cases. Places are allocated from October for a stay in the following academic year.
Application for the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Sogndal, Norway:
During the application period 15 October to 15 January, a letter of motivation must be submitted to the
Erasmus representative (Björn Staas) as a pdf by email. This letter must include at least the following aspects
- Relevance of the studies abroad to the studies at the University of Oldenburg (e.g. through recognition of credits earned).
- Reasons for the decision in favour of Norway.
- Does the stay abroad bring added value for later plans / academic appointments / academic future?
After the deadline, a selection will be made.
The letter of motivation must include the usual formalities (e.g. name, address, degree programme, number of semesters).
The online application (see below) is only required after a place has been allocated.
Erasmus / International
The degree programmes in Sports Science do not include a compulsory semester abroad, but many students still go abroad for a semester. Credits earned abroad can be recognised in both the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes. This means that the standard period of study can be adhered to even with a semester abroad.
The Institute of Sport Science expressly supports students in their desire to study abroad.
Online Learning Agreement (OLA)
An online learning agreement must be drawn up before the stay abroad. If credits are to be recognised, this recognition must be discussed in advance with the module coordinator.
Procedure:
- Fill out and print out the form
- Discuss recognition with the module coordinator
> Find module coordinator: Enter the module (e.g. spo520) in the search field in StudIP,
and click on the module description. There you will find the persons responsible. - Enter the seminars / modules to be recognised in the form
- Have the form signed
- Create an online learning agreement and submit the signed form
to the Erasmus+ officer
