Research Interests

As somebody originating from the coast, the sea has always fascinated me. In my research I want to get to the bottom of phenomena you can observe day by day in the sea. In the BASS project I will investigate the physical processes in the boundary layer between the ocean and the atmosphere, like temperature gradients and small-scale convection. In the process I am going to implement various methods on different space and time scales. I hope, this will help to improve the understanding which processes influence the exchange of heat or gasses between ocean and atmosphere.
