DATEV

DATEV: Basics of IT-supported double entry bookkeeping

DATEV is the most widely used accounting system in Germany and is therefore a standard in almost all tax consulting and auditing companies. The application possibilities go far beyond the simple preparation of financial accounting and extend to core business areas such as controlling, personnel management and risk management.

The module allows you to learn content that is highly relevant to practice. In addition, the knowledge acquired in the modules Accounting and Financial Statements, Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting is deepened using a specially constructed practical case.

Requirements and recognition of credits

The module "Fundamentals of computer-assisted accounting with DATEV" can be attended as a professionalisation module in the Bachelor's degree programmes in Economics and Business Administration with a focus on law . The course is suitable for students from the 3rd semester onwards.

The module comprises four semester hours per week. The number of participants is limited to approx. 18 places. Participants who attend regularly will receive an official certificate of attendance issued by DATEV.
