private commercial law

Orientation in the regulatory network

From general terms and conditions to contracts for work and services, from the law of merchants to consumer protection on the Internet - the module provides orientation in the complex regulatory network that increasingly characterises entrepreneurial activity. Participants learn the legal methodology for assessing conflicts in business practice by means of practical exercises. In addition to business law basics of civil law and commercial law, knowledge of company law and industrial property law is taught.
The module covers the numerous legal contents of private commercial law as well as the central legal sources of contract law and liability law. Other topics include dealing with contractual disruptions, trade mark law and unfair competition. Special emphasis is placed on internet law. The focus here is on online marketing and the conclusion of contracts in online trading. The particular liability risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence will also be discussed.
