History didactics pragmatically

Research interests:

As a subject-specific didactics, history didactics is also a science of action, which is why in the discussion of scientific theory there is widespread talk of a triad of theory, empiricism and pragmatics as the focal points of history didactics research. For me, pragmatics is not about teaching "recipes", but about developing reflective, lesson-related concepts and materials based on the latest findings from specialised, didactic and learning theory research.

In my research practice, this happens in several ways:

  1. in the reflection and development of individual innovative content and methods of historical learning (see publications on 1 below)
  2. in the development of textbooks from primary school to upper secondary school (see publications on 2 below)
  3. in the publication of the journal "Geschichte lernen" (see publications on 3 below)
