London Statement: Intensified international cooperation

Posters in Brussels consortium and international partners sign London Statement, committing to intensified international collaboration in undergraduate research activities.

Connecting at this year`s Posters in Parliament event in London, the Posters in Brussels consortium and its international network partners signed a statement, committing to intensified engagement in the institutionalization of an undergraduate research network throughout Europe and the fostering of global networks among undergraduate research mentors, institutions, and organizations.

Facing increasing global challenges and uncertainty, the evidence-based reasoning and experiential learning cultivated by undergraduate research is needed more than ever. The high-impact, inquiry-based learning practice fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation across disciplines. Engaging in research provides students with clarified career paths, preparation for graduate study, and enhanced workforce readiness for an increasingly complex and interconnected world.

The statement is signed by BCUR British Conference of Undergraduate Research (UK), BCUR Posters in Parliament (UK), CUR Council on Undergraduate Research (USA), Posters in Brussels (EU), AGUR Alliance for Global Undergraduate Research, SURE Science Undergraduate Research Experience Network (Ireland), AG Forschendes Lernen in der dghd (Germany), ACUR Australasian Council for Undergraduate Research (Australia).
