Researching and developing places and processes of extracurricular learning

The doctoral programme "MINT-Lernen in informellen Räumen (GINT)" is planning the conference "Orte und Prozesse außerschulischen Lernens erforschen und weiterentwickeln" in co-operation with the PH Luzern on Thu, 30.08. and Fri, 31.08.2018 in Oldenburg with a preliminary programme on Wed, 29.08.18.

This conference, which is the 6th in the series of Lucerne conferences on extracurricular places of learning and will be the first to take place in Germany, will focus on the following topics:

- Research on learning processes and developmental dynamics at extracurricular learning venues

- STEM disciplines, geography, languages, humanities and social science disciplines

- Extracurricular learning for career guidance and vocational training

- Complementary networking of extracurricular learning programmes

GINT includes Syddansk Universitet, the University of Crete and the universities of Vechta, Hanover and Oldenburg in Lower Saxony. 16 doctoral candidates are investigating processes of extracurricular learning in the STEM subjects, geography, philosophy and educational sciences.
