Who knows better what the employees need than the employees themselves?

Who is the Ver.di works group?

All university employees and students who are members of ver.di are automatically members of the works group.

What do we want?

A strong base - the more we are, the more we can achieve.
To be a link between the union and employees.
To be actively involved in committee work.
Be active where there are problems and develop solutions.
Also give "outsourced" colleagues a voice.
Thinking outside the box - we are also concerned about socio-political issues.
Getting involved

What do we do?

The works group is actively involved in university policy and represents the interests of all employees.
It brings the union to the university and the university to the union, i.e. in concrete terms: we are in close contact with our ver.di colleagues, the Office for University and Trade Union Co-operation, trade unions and other stakeholders.
The works group elects the organisation team from its ranks and decides which members run for the Staff Council and the University Senate on the ver.di lists. The works group therefore also appoints the committee representatives.
