Team & Partners

Understanding the ocean floor as a key interface within the Earth system requires expertise from all fields of marine science. At the ICBM, researchers contribute complementary perspectives and cover a broad spectrum of disciplines – from marine biogeochemistry and microbial ecology, through biodiversity research and oceanography, to Earth system modelling and marine geosciences – thereby laying the interdisciplinary foundation necessary to achieve the cluster’s research objectives.
