Hamburg. Around 1600 visitors gathered information at the MASTER AND MORE fair in Hamburg's Millerntor Stadium on 3 December. For the second time, the event was held in Hamburg to provide information about the opportunities and possibilities of a Master's degree programme. Dr Birte Junge and Dr Ferdinand Esser (Institute of Chemistry and Biology of the Marine Environment (ICBM)) as well as Sabine Matthé (Coordinator of Studies and Teaching, School V) informed interested students about what the University of Oldenburg has to offer, particularly in the fields of marine and natural sciences. "I am pleased to hear that the admission requirements for the ICBM's interdisciplinary degree programmes are relatively broad," said one biologist. "This gives me the opportunity to orientate myself more towards environmental or marine sciences after my Bachelor's degree."

Students, graduates and young professionals experienced an extensive conference programme on topics relating to Master's degree courses. National and international universities from 14 countries presented around 1500 Master's degree programmes from all subject areas. In addition to the University of Oldenburg, national and international exhibitors included Hamburg's Kühne Logistics University, the Bauhaus University in Weimar, Munich Business School, the University of Southern Denmark, Middlesex University London and the University of New South Wales.
