On 21 May, the MASTER AND MORE trade fair took place at the Congress Centrum Hannover. Around 1000 visitors came to find out about Master's degree programmes at various national and international universities. The Institute of Chemistry and Biology (ICBM) was represented at the University of Oldenburg's information stand by Dr Birte Junge. She advised interested students on the marine science Master's degree programmes. The Bachelor's students found the interdisciplinary orientation and the high proportion of practical courses on the degree programmes particularly interesting. "I like the fact that I don't have to follow a rigid study plan with prescribed subjects on the Marine Environmental Sciences degree programme. I can set my own specialisations," said one interested environmental manager. A biologist was enthusiastic about the combination of technical and scientific content of the Marine Sensory Science degree programme. "The job prospects afterwards are certainly good," was his assessment.

At the MASTER AND MORE fairs, universities, universities of applied sciences and business schools present their study programmes and offer individual counselling sessions for students and graduates. Experts also give lectures on all aspects of Master's programmes, such as "Strategies for selecting the right Master's degree" or "Master's abroad".

The universities from Germany exhibiting at the current MASTER AND MORE included Leibniz Universität Hannover, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and the European School of Management and Technology Berlin. International exhibitors included Edinburgh Napier University, Wageningen University and Syddansk Universitetet (University of Southern Denmark).
