ERASMUS study abroad programme for students of the Institute of Music
Application procedure 2026/27
Selection procedure and basic information on proposals to participate in an ERASMUS + exchange programme at one of our partner universities abroad.
Concerns winter semester 2026 and summer semester 2027.
Available places will be awarded in an internal selection procedure (submission of written documents and interview via web conference).
Evaluation criteria and procedure for selection
- Before applying to the IfM, please obtain information on formal requirements and partner universities: https://uol.de/erasmus
- An internal application to the Institute of Music (to be addressed to Prof. Dunkel, mario.dunkel@uol.de, application deadline is 15 January 2026). The application should include:
- a cover letter
- a curriculum vitae in tabular form (with photo)
- a list of all courses taken to date (with grades)
- if required, proof of qualified language skills.
- an essay of max. three pages. The essay should answer the following questions:
a) What do you expect from your stay abroad in terms of your academic and personal development?
b) What qualities and competences qualify you for studying abroad, and to what extent are you a particularly interesting partner from the perspective of a foreign university?
c) What activities and events could you organise at a partner institution to make the University of Oldenburg more popular and to arouse interest in a stay in Oldenburg among international students? - Interviews will take place at the end of January/beginning of February 2026.
- After the internal selection, your online application will be submitted on the ISO website: https://uol.de/erasmus-bewerbung
- You then create a pdf printout of this and submit it to the departmental coordinator Prof Dr Mario Dunkel.
