Selection procedure and basic information regarding proposals to take part in an ERASMUS+ exchange programme at one of our partner universities abroad.

Applies to the winter semester 2026 and the summer semester 2027.

Available places will be allocated through an internal selection procedure (submission of written documents and an interview via web conference).

Assessment criteria and selection procedure

  1. Before applying to the IfM, please obtain information on formal requirements and partner universities: https://uol.de/erasmus
  2. An internal application to the Institute of Music (to be addressed to Prof. Dunkel, mario.dunkel@uol.de; the application deadline is 15 January 2026). The application should include:
    - a cover letter
    - a tabular CV (with photo)
    - a list of all courses taken to date (with grades)
    - where necessary , proof of qualified language proficiency is required.
    - an essay of no more than three pages. The essay should answer the following questions:
    a) What do you expect from your stay abroad in terms of your academic and personal development?
    b) What qualities and skills make you suitable for studying abroad, and to what extent are you a particularly interesting partner from the perspective of a foreign university?
    c) What activities and events could you organise at a partner institution to raise the profile of the University of Oldenburg and spark interest among international students in studying in Oldenburg?
  3. Interviews will take place in late January/early February 2026.
  4. Following the internal selection process, you will submit your online application via the ISO website: https://uol.de/erasmus-bewerbung
  5. You should then print this out as a PDF and submit it to the departmental coordinator, Prof. Dr Mario Dunkel.
