As a composer, audio artist and visual artist, I definitely see myself in the tradition of Erik Satie, John Cage and Christian Wolff. Influences from the "Polish School" through Boguslaw Schaeffer definitely round off the angular picture. Dice, in whatever form, like to fall and move things forward or set things in motion. Coincidence, isn't it! Grades don't have to be stuck in 2 dimensions, they are movable and transformable. Sounds, as unsynthetic as possible. Economical. Surprising explosions? Always - even as a watercolour.

Martin Daske was born in Berlin in 1962. Compositional training in the USA at Dartmouth College with Christian Wolff, in Krakow and at the Mozarteum Salzburg with Boguslaw Schaeffer. In addition to his "normal" compositional work (e.g.: wohin: gegen: wenn (2016) for ensemble, 4 singers and live electronics), Daske developed a form of three-dimensional notation ("Folianten") and another in 2010 ("Notensetzen"). 2002 Foundation of the duo "Die Klangschürfer" with the language artist Rainer Rudloff. Numerous radio plays and other radio works (e.g: "Operation Lithos" (2017)). Sound installations, e.g. "Heim@klingt" (2015), children's radio plays, theatre and film music (e.g: "Lunik" (2006/2007) and "Je voudrais être légère" (dance theatre, Marseille 2008/2009). Since 1989 one of the two artistic directors of the concert series "Unerhörte Musik" in Berlin. Since 1993 Daske has been running his own production studio: tribord studio. Various prizes and awards. CD releases with WERGO, edel-records, Hörverlag, Hörcompany, au.diom.at and Klangscheiben Verlag. 2006 - 2012 also managing director of the Initiative Neue Musik e.V. Berlin.
