Thinking also means engaging critically with the world and being able to make your own value judgements. Kant's injunction: "Have the courage to use your own understanding!" can therefore be understood as a general call to advocate more self-thinking and judgement. In order to fulfil this responsibility towards future generations, philosophising with children provides a wide range of tools to invite them to wonder, question and think (for themselves). Playful elements, children's books, Lego bricks and discussions help children to express their own thinking.
The conference on 15 & 16 November 2024 will take up these elements as media and methods of philosophising with children in a theoretically sound way and test them using practical examples.
The event costs 40 euros, including drinks on Friday and Saturday. Lunch will also be provided on Saturday.
