Research into the didactics of subject teaching and the development of teaching and further education has a long tradition at the University of Oldenburg. The Sachunterricht working group with its former head Prof. Dr Astrid Kaiser has been actively involved in research, teaching and further education in the development of the subject of interdisciplinary Sachbildung/Sachunterricht since 1993.
