The subject of Sachunterricht is studied for the teaching profession at primary and special schools at the University of Oldenburg through the basic Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Sachbildung and the Master of Education in Sachunterricht.

At the centre of this degree programme is the reflective selection of content and its didactic preparation, its methodical presentation as well as diagnostic skills in early childhood education and teaching and learning based on learning theory. The close interlinking of research relevant to subject teaching, university teaching and school practice is an integral part of the subject of subject teaching at the University of Oldenburg.
