(Team) sport as the key to heart health

Cardiovascular diseases are the most common cause of death worldwide and there are major deficits in prevention and early detection in Germany in particular. Regular exercise is one of the most effective measures to counteract almost all risk factors. However, as traditional health programmes only reach a small proportion of the population, this presentation shows how the motivating effect of popular sports can be combined with the principles of health sports to inspire people with different conditions to exercise and strengthen their heart health.

The "Fitkick" project will also be presented, as well as the "Fitkick - World Cup of Hearts" event, which offers the opportunity to learn more about health-oriented football and your own heart health.

Current scientific findings and practical experience from football training with cardiological patients will round off the presentation and invite discussion.
