Short biography

Matthias Hauer studied sociology (MA) at the University of Freiburg. During the winter semesters of 2021/22 and 2022/23, he held a teaching post at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences in Freiburg. From 2023 to July 2026, he worked as a research assistant on the project ‘Eastern European Live-in Carers in Domestic Care Triads for Dementia: Informal Care Concepts, Communicative Power and Moral Responsibility’ (TriaDe) in the Department of Medical Ethics. Since August 2026, he has been a research assistant in the Department of Prevention and Rehabilitation Research.
