Research strand 1: Ceramics workshops with people living with endometriosis
Aims and research questions
The aim is to find out how people with endometriosis experience, interpret and cope with their condition, and how they interact with the healthcare system:
- How do people manage their endometriosis?
What strategies for coping, self-care or resistance do they develop? - What are the (care) experiences of people living with endometriosis?
How is the condition perceived? What barriers exist in accessing diagnosis, treatment and support? - To what extent can an arts-based research design help to capture individual experiences?
Can creative work with clay help to make complex, often unspoken or difficult-to-articulate experiences visible and open to exploration?
About taking part in the ceramics workshops
There will be three 2.5-day ceramics workshops, each for 6 people . The workshops will take place in a creative, safe and supportive environment. If you would like to share this project with someone, you can find the flyer for the call for participants here.
