I hold a PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Warsaw, Poland. My areas of specialisation include condensed matter theory, quantum many-body theory, strongly correlated electronic systems, dynamical mean-field theory, and ab initio density functional theory for the study of materials. Following my PhD, I spent several years conducting post-doctoral research at the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague, the Jozef Stefan Institute in Slovenia and the University of Duisburg in Germany before joining the University of Oldenburg.

I have also spent several months at the research centre Jülich and the University of Augsburg as a visiting researcher. In my projects, I have carried out computational modelling and simulations of a wide range of materials in close collaboration with experimentalists, ranging from bulk systems to 2D materials, investigating exotic properties such as Mott insulators, excitonic insulators, cycloidal phonons, etc.

I am currently working on NV defect centres in diamond structures for potential applications in quantum sensing and other problems in solid-state physics. I am also interested in exploring the underlying physics of exotic inorganic materials and biomolecules using modern machine learning tools and quantum computing.
