Jan Jochmaring and Jana York (TU Dortmund University, Rehabilitation Sociology) moderated and organised a new type of event format at the 39th Annual Conference on Inclusion Research (Research, Attitudes, Activism) at the University of Bremen.
The SymposiumPlus on "Academic transitions and participation in work under the sign of inclusion" by Jan Jochmaring and Jana York offered a broad discussion platform on the topic of participation in work for activists and researchers within four interlinked symposia.
A total of 12 individual contributions presented and critically discussed research, qualification and practical projects focussing on academic appointments, career transitions and participation in work.
One example is the contribution by Jacquelin Kluge-Brück, Lena Külker & Jan Jochmaring on "Vocational orientation for pupils with and without special educational needs - the influence of individual teacher characteristics on the development of career choice competence".
The organisers are delighted with the great response, the interest of the participants and the strengthening of this important field of scientific research.
