Academic records on the archaeology of the Iron Age to the Hellenistic period in the context of biblical studies

Professor Dr Benedikt Hensel, University of Oldenburg, has been commissioned by the publishing house Mohr Siebeck to write an innovative new textbook entitled "Archäologie der Südlevante. Academic records on the archaeology of the Iron Age to the Hellenistic period in the context of biblical studies." The textbook will be published in the series "Neue Theologische Grundrisse".

The textbook series Neue Theologische Grundrisse (NThG) is edited by Christian Albrecht, Peter Gemeinhardt, Jürgen Mohn, Michael Moxter, Konrad Schmid and Jens Schröter and provides information in monographic form on the central topics and issues of Protestant theology. The structure is based on the five classic disciplines of theological studies: Old and New Testament, church history, systematic theology and practical theology. These are presented in individual volumes based on their respective sub-disciplines. Further volumes are dedicated to subjects that have recently expanded the spectrum of core theological disciplines or belong to the circle of theological science in the narrower sense. The series is primarily aimed at students of Protestant theology. The aim is to introduce them to the contents, methods and essential questions of the respective volume topic in a substantial manner and in line with the current state of academic discussion.
