Research Assistant (m/f/d)

pay group 13 TV-L

with 75% of the regular weekly working time as a parental leave replacement, until 21 August 2024 (with an option to extend if the incumbent requests another leave of absence).

We are an interdisciplinary research group and are looking for reinforcement for our team. The research will contribute to the comparative analysis of social inequalities in Germany and Europe.

The scope of duties includes

  • Teaching courses at the Institute of Social Sciences, with a focus on the topic area of the Social Structure Analysis Research Group, amounting to three lecture hours per semester,
  • Collaboration in the research area of social structure analysis (labour market, family, social security, migration, education) and inequality research.

Requirements are

  • An above-average academic university degree (Master's, Diplom, Magister) in a social science subject,
  • A major in or sound knowledge of social structure analysis,
  • An independent, goal- and result-oriented way of working and the ability to act scientifically and methodically,
  • Good knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative social research,
  • Very good knowledge of English and at least good knowledge of German,
  • Teaching experience is an advantage.
