Doctoral Candidate (f, m, x)

at the earliest possible date.

This PhD position is limited to 3 years and should result in a dissertation.

Requirement for employment is a completed academic university degree in chemistry. We are looking for a smart and social chemist (f, m, x) and teamplayer with passion for and practical skills in experimental molecular chemistry (e.g., organo-element chemistry or coordination chemistry). The exciting research topic is in ligand-centered redox chemistry in mononuclear noble metal complexes and their (catalytic) reactivity, particularly for C-N and C-C bond formation. Relevant expertise with necessary analytical and spectroscopic methods (NMR, XRD, IR, UV-vis, MS, CV) is desirable. Willingness to learn quantum mechanical calculation methods and to support students is appreciated. Good German language skills are required.
