The Friends of the Botanical Garden Oldenburg e. V., founded on 2 May 2000, has set itself the goal of promoting the show and research garden of the University of Oldenburg.

• regularly organising guided tours and other events for the public and its members
• supporting the publication of Botanical Garden publications
• the promotion of exchange between the Botanical Garden Oldenburg and other botanical gardens, also on an international level

The association pursues exclusively charitable purposes.
