1882Creation of a teaching garden for the Oldenburg Teachers' College.
1913The drawing teacher Wilhelm Meyer takes over the management of an additional botanical school garden of 14 acres (see picture).
1916Creation of a systematic section in which 1200 plant species from Oldenburg and East Frisia were planted according to family. The systematic section is still a central area of the Botanical Garden today.
