On Friday, 7 July 2023, the farewell ceremony for graduates of the Master of Education degree programmes took place in the lecture hall building of the University of Oldenburg. 101 graduates were bid farewell in a festive setting.

The future teachers for primary, secondary and intermediate schools, grammar schools and special schools were honoured in a ceremony by the Centre for Teacher Education - Didactic Centre and the Examinations Office. They were accompanied by their families, friends and partners.

Prof. Dr Karsten Speck, Vice President for Studies, Teaching and International Affairs, and Prof. Dr Teresa Sansour, Vice Director for Teaching at the Centre for Teacher Education - Didactic Centre, which coordinates teacher training at the university, gave welcoming speeches. Susann Willig, graduate of the Master of Education Gymnasium, gave a speech from the ranks of the graduates. The band Intervalic accompanied the ceremony with music. After the ceremony, there was a champagne reception organised by the student body.
