School management conference
School management
Since 1993, the School Development Office has organised head teacher training courses on the subject of "School Management". These events, which take place once a year, are held in cooperation with the Didactic Centre and the state education authority.
The school management conference is not only aimed at participants from previous conferences, but also at other interested parties from all types of schools - including those from other regions and, of course, not just headteachers in office - who want to exchange ideas and find out about the current state of affairs and discussions with regard to school development.
The event is essentially planned and carried out by the scientific management of the AS, a member of the AS team and with the organisational support of the Didactic Centre. Representatives of these three areas are supported by a planning team, which ensures a sensible selection of speakers from various disciplines with a view to teacher training according to the needs of the participants and the consideration of regional particularities. Each of these events has the following four characteristics:
- Scientifically sound input is provided that addresses a topic relevant to schools
. - The events serve as a platform for ongoing dialogue between headteachers.
- The conferences serve to discuss current problems in schools from the perspective of headteachers.
- The conferences provide impetus for the further development of the "school management" of every
interested school.
