The Oldenburg Teacher Training Day (TOLL) is an annual think tank for exchange and networking for stakeholders from all phases of regional teacher training. It is aimed at people from universities, teacher training colleges and schools, as well as further education and training; in each case with perspectives from both teachers and learners.

The aim of TOLL is for participants to

• exchange future-oriented perspectives on current topics,
• provide and receive insights into case studies, strategies, methods and/or concepts and discuss these together in terms of added value and synergies,
• face the central challenges across all phases and actively help to shape them,
• strengthen their personal contacts between the teacher training phases.

The idea for the "Oldenburg Teacher Training Day" was developed in 2023, with the involvement of various committees such as the Commission for Teacher Training, the Teaching Council and the DiZ Directorate. Many of the ideas came from Ulrike Heinrichs, the former director of the OFZ, who died suddenly in November 2023.

The conceptual implementation is currently being carried out by a small team consisting of Julia Michaelis, Holger Lüschen and Verena Niesel. Heinz Kaiser, the former head of the Oldenburg study seminar for BBS, is assisting the team in an advisory capacity.
