In order to better map and support existing and emerging research structures, alliances and networks of multiple and interdisciplinary researchers within the framework of the DiZ Research Academy at the UOL, these will be recorded and presented in the form of "research clusters". The cluster format replaces the previous format of research centres. Existing positions are to be continued as research clusters. Initiatives for potential new research clusters (including those of early career researchers) are also expressly supported. The invitation to establish clusters with potential or to nominate existing ones is ongoing.

The following research clusters have currently crystallised or are in the process of being established:

Children's and youth literature (KJL)

Education for sustainable development (cluster under construction, pages only accessible internally)

Language-aware subject teaching / language-sensitive teaching and learning
